...and the possibility of a substantial penalty if discovered guilty of tax fraud.
Shakira 45, who has repeatedly denied that she was guilty of any offence...
...and refused to sign a contract with authorities to stay out of going to trial.
Her public relations company says that she's already paid everything she owed , plus three million euros ($2.8 millions) of interest.
